| Closed Beta2 Ends / CB3 will begin
Hey everyone, We will be closing the CB2 servers on Monday 10/26. There will be a transition period between CB2 and what is now known as Closed Beta 3. During this time we will be loading content onto the test server, and testing it. Content will include:
Our reasoning for entering into a closed beta 3 instead of continuing with CB2 is fairly simple. CB2 servers have been a breeding ground for duplication, and have been stagnating lately for various reasons. We wish to start fresh, with new content, solid bug fixes and new characters. I know there will be questions about this decision. So I would like to answer a few of the larger ones before you ask. Q: Will our characters be wiped between CB2 and CB3? A: Yes all character information will be wiped Q: Will our characters be wiped after CB3? Scenario #1 If closed beta 3 has fixed item duplication and implements the islands system without too many issues then characters will not be wiped and CB3 will become Open Beta. Scenario #2 If duplication is still prevalent in closed beta 3, then fixes will be created and patched into the server, and there will be a wipe between CB3 and OB Q: When will CB3 begin? A: There is currently no set date for CB3 but we believe it will begin within the month of November. Emails will be sent out announcing the start. I want to thank all of you for being so patient during this process. I truly wish to make Turf Battles the game it deserves to be.
