| Update (7/15): Thank you everyone who voted in our poll. Based on the feedback, we would like to run a 2nd Closed Beta with the content originally listed. The current plan is we should be getting a patch that contains the simple island system plus the other 3 features by the end of the month (at the earliest). After that we will perform internal testing while the developers work with our team to make some server platform changes (I mentioned this a while back, well now they're ready to do it). The server changes are kind of a big deal for how the game runs, so it will take a little time to make the change and will require some additional testing on our part before everyone is confident that it's good to go. I expect this whole ordeal will take roughly 2 weeks. Assuming everything goes fairly smoothly, my best estimate at the moment for the start of Closed Beta 2 is around the middle of August before we are ready to open up the server for public testing. I had been hoping we could get this started a little sooner than that, but the server changes have to come first or else it will just mean we take the game back down right after CB2 starts and there might be stability issues while they work out the kinks after coming back up. So until then, hang in there everyone, we're getting close! | |
