Ladies and gentlemen, what we hoped for is back... Turf Battles is back and under good management. Let's not blow this. See you in-game! Edit: Regardless of whether Aeria Games can get their hands on the old data or not, they would not possibly give back the old accounts for several reasons. 1. Impossible to tell who owns what. For all they know, I own Hawk's equipment as well as other people's accounts. They can't tell and we can't prove it and there's no one who can reset the clock. 2. Duped gear. They may be able to tell on some of it, but how much can't be proven? 3. Items with wrong information or stats compared to new items. Even if they could make everything uniform before handing it out, this is alot of data to process. Even then be a number of glitched items and useless items. Even if they didn't edit the equipment stats, items like the Beta gear and bad equipment would exist. 4. Too much advantage to certain players. Aeria had always started games from a wiped slate. That much initial boost would drive new players away. 5. It's impossible to do so cause the account system is different here from TB website. I had at least 7 accounts with 3 people each and access to more. There is no way I'm getting back 21 characters worth of items on 1 account here, nor will Aeria make 6 ghost accounts with the items. Even if you could pick and choose which one, you would still have to prove you owned it and thats impossible and impractical. Hopefully this stops the "Will we be getting back our characters?" and "I heard we would get our stuff back" comments. Aeria can't do that even if they had the data. They may use said data to improve the new game, but we will all have to earn it back again. | |
